Chairman Chen Yuan Meets with “Daffodil Queen Delegation” from Hawaii

On June 7th, Chen Yuan, chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), met with the 67th “Daffodil Queen Delegation” of China General Chamber of Commerce in Hawaii, the United States.

Chairman Chen Yuan said the annual “Daffodil Festival” is an event in Hawaii and also a window for the American people to understand traditional Chinese culture. As a sponsor of the “Daffodil Festival”, China General Chamber of Commerce actively expands the influence of the local Chinese community, safeguards the interests of overseas Chinese businessmen, and makes great contributions to promoting Sino-US economic, political and cultural exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples, and promoting the Chinese culture. Chairman Chen Yuan congratulated the Daffodil Queen and Princess and encouraged them to inherit the fine traditions of the ancestors, carry forward Chinese civilization, and to be civil messengers for friendly relations between China and the US.

Cai Meili, president of China General Chamber of Commerce in Hawaii, said that her organization would play its own advantages, continue to work to enhance mutual understanding and trust between Chinese and American peoples and promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and constantly push forward Sino-US non-governmental friendly ties.

Vice-chairman Xin Qi and Deputy Secretary-general Zhou Xinzheng of the CAIFC were present at the meeting.
