CAIFC Leader Attends the Honor Awarding Ceremony of French Embassy in China

Upon the invitation of Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, the French ambassador to China, Xin Qi, vice chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), attended the awarding of “Chevalier of the National Honorary Order of France” to Hua Bin, a French-Chinese entrepreneur, at the Ambassador’s residence on behalf of the CAIFC in January 25th.

During the ceremony, Vice-chairman Xin Qi introduced the positive efforts of CAIFC to promote China-EU exchanges to ambassador Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, and the two sides had an in-depth discussion on how to promote Sino-French cultural exchanges.

Mr. Hua Bin is an old friend to the CAIFC and has been long committed to promoting Sino-French exchanges and cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, and culture, contributing a lot to the enhancement of Sino-French friendship. “Chevalier of the National Honorary Order of France”, which was initiated by President Charles de Gaulle, is the highest honor that the French government awards for French and foreigners who make outstanding contributions in various fields.

Zhou Xinzheng, vice secretary-general of CAIFC, was invited to attend the ceremony.
