CAIFC Secretary-general Attends the Awarding Ceremony of “2015 Kiriyama Education Foundation” at Peking University and BFSU

On December 28th, the awarding ceremony of “2015 Kiriyama Education Foundation” was held at Peking University and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Li Haoyu, deputy secretary-general of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

 “Kiriyama Education Foundation” at Peking University and BFSU was founded in 1998 and 2007, respectively and is a public interest project initiated and sponsored by the Japanese Agon Shu under the support and push of the CAIFC. The project at Peking University awards excellent teachers in the field of humanities. There were 14 teachers who were awarded this year. The project at BFSU awards excellent teachers and teachers in the Japanese Department and Beijing Centre for Japanese Studies. There were 36 teachers and students who were awarded this year.

Secretary-general Li presented the certificates to the awarded teachers and students. He said in the speech that Agon Shu and its leader Seiyu Kiriyama have been dedicated to pushing Sino-Japanese friendship for years and play active roles in promoting the education development of China and friendly exchanges of the two countries. He hoped that the awarded teachers and students can make persistent efforts in making constant innovation and outstanding achievements to contribute to Sino-Japanese friendship.
