On May 20th, Honorary Chairman Xu Kuangdi of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) met with the delegation led by CEO Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska of UC Rusal and hosted a banquet for the delegation in the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska provided some specific suggestions of strengthening the pragmatic cooperation in the fields of coal, water and electricity, nuclear power and infrastructure construction between China and Russia. Honorary Chairman Xu Kuangdi agreed with the suggestions and decided to co-implement the assessment and demonstration of the projects in cooperation. Vice Chairman Deng Rong， Secretary-General Song Enlei and Vice Secretary-General Lv Wei of the CAIFC were accompanying.
Before then, the CAIFC already arranged the meeting between Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska and Zhang Chunxian, the secretary of the Party committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Both sides deeply exchanged opinions on developing the pragmatic cooperation between the regions of China and Russia.
