At the invitation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), Kanemaru Chihiro, consultant of the Japan-China Peace and Friendship Association of Japan and original old soldier of the fourth field army, together with his wife visited China before the Qingming Festival.
On March 31, Deputy Secretary-General Song Enlei of the CAIFC met with and had a banquet for the Kanemaru couples. Deputy Secretary-General Song gave thanks to Kanemaru and other Japanese friends for their contribution in the Chinese revolution and socialist construction and expressed his respect for their long-term commitment to China-Japan friendly activities. Kanemaru thanked the CAIFC for the long-term friendly communications with Japanese veterans. He hoped the two countries’ unions and youth to strengthen their communication in the future and deepen mutual understandings.
