Delegation of CAIFC Visits Ukraine, Turkey, Sweden and Norway

From September 15th to 27th, Vice Chairman Shen Weiping led the delegation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) to visit Ukraine, Turkey, Sweden and Norway.

During their visit in Turkey, the delegation met with Suvo, Chairman of the Marmara Strategic and Social Research Foundation. The Foundation is the social community consisting of personnel from political and economic circles and mainly engaged in the exchanges on the local politics and economy. The two parties introduced the situation of their agencies and consulted and discussed on furthering their cooperation. Suvo expressed that he paid importance to the tie with the work of the CAIFC and willingly visited China at the invitation of the CAIFC to have academic exchanges and further discuss the friendly exchanges and cooperation.

During their visit in Ukraine, the delegation attended the Council of Union held by the International Industrial Entrepreneurs Union in Yalta and visited Grubich, Chairman of the International Industrial Entrepreneurs Union and Cotin, President of the Russia National Defense and School of Security and Criminal Justice. They met with the Gehenna, the Chairman of Ukraine Industrial Entrepreneurs Union and Prakeita, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the The Crimean Autonomous Republic and had special discuss with Bayh Knov, Chairman of the Employer Association President of Kazakhstan and Palmnescu, Chairman of Romania Industrialists Association, consolidating the relations with the Union. 

During their visit in Sweden and Norway, the delegation met with Margaret Hunburger, the previous councillor of the Conservative Party of the Stockholm parliament and Stein Toennesson, Chief of Norway International Peace Research Institute, and exchanged their ideas on the social and economic development and democratic political development. When the delegation met with the Stein Toennesson, Chief of Norway International Peace Research Institute, they came to the nomination of the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize and pointed out that the ideology should not be used as the standard for Nobel Peace Prize and the prize-winner should be recognized by the people of his country and people in the whole world. They thought if the people of the prize-winner’s country could not accept it, the establishment of that Prize is of little significance.
