Xin Qi

Xin Qi, Male, born in Beijing in December, 1961, native of Dingzhou, Hebei Province, present vice president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and the vice chairman of the Chinese Culture Development Promoting Society;

In 1979, student of the Department of Philosophy in Hebei University；

In 1983, graduate in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences;

In 1985, vice director of the editorial department of the Huayi Press;

In 1990, vice researcher, researcher and director of the research office of Peace and Development Research Center;  

In 2000, vice secretary general and secretary general of the Chinese Culture Development Promoting Society;

In 2009, vice president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and vice chairman of the Chinese Culture Development Promoting Society; 

In 1994, participated in the Sino-US strategic dialogue and assumed the convener of the Group for Taiwan Issue; in November, 1996, invited by the U.S. president Clinton to visit the United States for a month, kept wide exchange with the United States in politics, education and military affairs; in 1997 and 1998, participated in the Track II Dialogues between China and the United States for many time; in 2000, participated in the high-level strategic consultation between China and the United States and Japan; in 2001, began to lead the group to visit countries such as the United States, India, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, North Korea, Cuba and Brazil; authored treatises include Quarrels of Gods---Religious Roots of the International Conflicts, Intellectual History of Dynasties in China(Volume of Wei Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty), Universal Discourse of a Chinese Scholar, Critical Biography on the philosopher of Wei and Jin Dynasty Ruan Ji, New Cultural Horizon---Viewing the World, China and Taiwan, Hundreds of Years of Mediation---Retrospect Leading Cultural Concepts in Human Beings’ Development in the 20^th Century, Trans-century Thinking---Integrated Study Centered on Taiwan Issues.
