The First Publication Ceremony of Li Ronghai's Glossary of Frequently-used Running-cursive Scripts and Symposium are held in Beijing

Li Ronghai’s Glossary of Frequently-used Running-cursive Scripts and Symposium, jointly held by China Calligraphers Association and the Painting Academy for Friendly Contact (PAFC) were grandly launched in Great Hall of the People Shandong Hall on September 19th, 2010. The leaders present at the first publication ceremony include, previous vice chairman of the National People's Congress He Luli, secretary of Party committee of China literary federation Hu Zhenmin, vice chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) Li Xiaohua, Chairman of China Artists Association and director of arts committee of the PAFC Liu Dawei, secretary of the Secretariat of China literary federation Xia Chao, vice minister of provincial party committee propaganda department in Shandong Xu Xianghong, director of arts department of the Ministry of Culture Dong Wei, chairman of the China National Academy of Painting (CNAP for short) and vice president of China Artists Association Yang Xiaoyang, appointed director, vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Calligraphers Association Zhao Changqing, vice chairman of the China Calligraphers Association Shen Wansheng and appointed director and vice chairman of Chinese Ballad Singers Association Jiang Kun.

Assistant of chairman of the CAIFC and vice chairman of the PAFC Cao Quanxin, and vice secretary general of the CAIFC Song Enlei were present at the meeting. The attendees of the first publication ceremony include those famous accomplished and famous arts and calligraphers influential in calligraphy and arts like Zhang Daoxing, Li Xiang, Ma Zhensheng, Zhu Licun, Miao Zaixin, Zhang Xuguang, Bai Xu, Liu Heng, Zhou Zhigao, Li Yi, Wu Chunhe, Li Hongmei, Liu Wenhua, Wu Zhenqi, Wang Rongsheng, Zhu Shoudao, Yu Shuguang, Lu Zhongnan, Zhang Ji, Wang Xueling, Gao Qingchun and Ye Peigui.

On the first publication ceremony, member of the party of China literary federation and secretary of the Secretariat of China literary federation Xia Chao fully recognized the achievements and values of Li Ronghai for his long pursuit for the integrated development of arts and merits as well as his Glossary of Frequently-used Running-cursive Scripts. Vice minister of provincial party committee propaganda department in Shandong Xu Xianghong, extended his gratitude to Li Ronghai for his contribution to the development of Shandong arts program for many years and congratulations to the publication of Glossary of Frequently-used Semi-cursive Scripts as well recalled the profound sentiments of friendship of Li Ronghai for his hometown. Secretary of Party Committee of Shandong literary federation Yu Qinyan expressly attended the ceremony to extend his congratulation.

After the first publication ceremony, editor of Art Observation Li Yi held the publication symposium of Glossary of Frequently-used Semi-cursive Scripts, and the present experts discussed the value and significance of the publication of this book from different perspectives and highly recognized it. They came to the agreement that the Glossary of Frequently-used Semi-cursive Scripts was a large-scale creation project. This book included 3,830 characters in prudent fonts and standardized writing of academic, aesthetic and pragmatic nature, playing an active role in promoting the study on running-cursive calligraphy and publicity of running cursive calligraphy.
