CAIFC China-DPRK Friendly Personage Delegation Visits North Korea

At the invitation of the DPRK-China Friendly Association Central Committee in North Korea, the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) China-DPRK Friendly Personage Delegation, led by CAIFC Vice-Chairman Xin Qi with a party of 32 persons in total, visited North Korea from October 4 to 11, in order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Chinese volunteer army fighting overseas for the Korean War. They went successively to Hoechang, Anju, Kimhwa, Changdo, Kaesong and other places to sweep the tombs of volunteer army martyrs. During the visit to DPRK, the delegation met with Yang Hyong Sop, Vice-Chairperson of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly. They also visited the former residence of kim il seong - Mangyongdae and paid respects to President kim il seong's remains. In addition, they laid floral baskets in front of the Sino-Korean friendship tower, Mt. Taes?ng Korean anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs cemetery. And they donated televisions, computers, digital cameras, fertilizer and other materials to 10 units such as Huang Jiguang Middle School, Takuan DPRK-China cooperative farm house, and countries and cities where part of the revolutionary martyrs cemeteries were located, and made spontaneous contributions for South Hamgyong that suffered from the severe flooding.
