From October, 3rd to 15th, Vice Chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) Shen Weiping led the delegation of the CAIFC to visit the Republic of Lithuania, Estonia and the U.K.
At the invitation of the International Industries, the delegation entrepreneurs union visited participated in the board of directors held by the Union in the Vilnius, capital of the Republic of Lithuania, as the observers. During the meeting, they met with the Chairman of the Union Grubich and the President of Ukraine Industries Entrepreneurs Union (previous prime minister of Ukraine) Gehenna, the President of Industries Entrepreneurs Union of the Republic of Lithuania (previous prime minister of the Republic of Lithuania) Lubis and the Employer Association President of Kazakhstan (previous prime minister of Kazakhstan) Bayh Knov and further exchanged their ideas on friendly cooperation with them, deepening the cooperation between the Union and its members.
In the Republic of Lithuania，the delegation held the formal discussion with the President Buderris of the Economic Committee of the parliament, some members of the committee and celebrities of the economic circle.
In the Estonia, at the invitation of the Estonia Idustries Entrepreneurs Union, the delegation met with Tietjen Vichy the previous prime minister of Estonia and president of Industries Entrepreneurs Union and the previous ambassador in China Andre Hirafu and listened to the introduction to the development of the Sillamaee Port of Baltic & the intention of China for the cooperation. Lin Changyan, the director of the CAIFC and researcher of the municipal government of Jinjiang, Fujian and the President Chen Kunliang of the Great Wall Petrochemical Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd had talks about the economic and trading cooperation with foreign party.
In the UK, the delegation held formal discuss with the UK International Institute for Strategic Studies, Royal International Affairs Institute, UK Royal United Defense Service Institute， further discussing such issues as China-Europe Relations, situation of Afghanistan and nuclear of the North Korea & Iran, and came into agreement on the further academic exchanges and cooperation.
