Xin Qi, Vice President of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), led a delegation on a working visit to Japan from February 10 to 15. During the visit, the delegation met with former Japanese Prime MinisterYasuo Fukuda, former Japanese Minister of Finance FukushiroNukaga and Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, as well aspresident of the Nippon Foundation Ogata Takeju, president of AgonShuWada Naoko, President of the Japan-China Friendship ExchangeAssociationof JapanShibuya Toshio and others. The two sides exchanged views on promoting the stable development of China-Japan relations and strengthening friendly people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in the new era, and reached broad consensus. Moreover, the delegation was also invited to attend the 46thAgonShuHoshi Matsuriin Japan, and prayed for world peace and the well-being of humanity, promoting friendly exchanges between the peoples of China and Japan. TheNational Religious Affairs Administration, the Buddhist Association of China, Peking University, Sun Yat-Sen University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and other organizations and institutions sent representatives to attend the activitiesundertheorganization of the CAIFC.
