On September 11th, the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) and the China Academy of Chess organizes the 19th“Agon Shu ·Kiriyama Cup” Open Championship of the Game of Go and Blitz sponsored by the Japanese Agon Shu in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Zhao Jun, secretary general of the CAIFC, attended the event, delivered a speech, and issued the certificates to the winner and the runner-up. He said that the CAIFC would continue to cooperate with the Japanese Agon Shu and the China Academy of Chess in hosting this traditional high-profile event and make positive contributions to the Sino-Japanese friendship.
At the final, TuoJiaxi, a level-9 candidate, defeated KeJie, also a level-9 candidate, to win the championship. Hua Yigang, director of the Beijing Foundation of the Game of Go, explained the championship with Hua Xueming, leader of the National Team of the Game of Go. CCTV and other online media gave live reports of the event.
