From January 13th to 21st, 2009, Xu Jialu, senior consultant of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) and previous vice chairman of committee of the National People’s Congress, Xu Jialu led the representatives of the CAIFC to visit Los Angeles and Hawaii in the United States. Vice Chairman of the Committee Xu met with Doctor Robert H. Schuller, local officials and representatives of communities in Los Angeles and issued the speech themed on advancing the exchanges between Oriental and Occidental cultures in the Crystal Cathedral. The delegation participated in the 60th anniversary of the Daffodil Festival of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Hawaii.
