On April 20th, Deng Rong, vice chairwoman of China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), met with a delegation led by Titov, president of Sino-Russian Friendship Committee for Peace and Development, which visited China to attend the first China-Russia SME Business Forum.
Vice-chairwoman Deng noted that civil diplomacy is an important part of overall bilateral diplomacy and injects strong momentum to the establishment and development of Sino-Russian comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. She hoped that the two sides can work together in society and public opinion levels for consolidating the bilateral relations. Titov expressed his willingness to further strengthen cooperation with the CAIFC to continuously promote bilateral cultural, economic and trade cooperation. The two sides also discussed international and regional issues of common concern.
Cheng Guoping, deputy minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, Sun Yao, deputy governor of Heilongjiang Province, Li Haoyu, secretary-general of the CAIFC, Denisov, Russian Ambassador in China, and Zwagelsky, vice president of Sino-Russian Friendship Committee for Peace and Development, were present at the meeting.
