On October 24th, the Final of the 16th “Agon Shu Kiriyama Cup” of Chinese Weiqi and Blitz Game, co-hosted by the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) and the Chinese Chess Association and sponsored by the Agon Shu from Japan, came to a successful conclusion in Chongqing. He Jie, a 17-year-old player, got the champion. Shen Weiping, vice chairman of the CAIFC, attended the awarding ceremony and delivered a speech.
The “Agon Shu Kiriyama Cup” was launched and exclusively sponsored by Seiyu Kiriyama, founder of Agon Shu, in 1999 and now has become one of the largest and most important weiqi and blitz games in China. This game plays a positive role in promoting the Sino-Japanese folk culture and youth exchanges.
