On May 23rd, Song Enlei, vice-chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), went to Ningbo to attend the meeting of the 3rd Council of Ningbo Association for International Friendly Contact (NAIFC) and delivered a speech. The meeting reviewed and passed the work report of the 2nd council, approved the members and consultants of the 3rd council by vote and issued them certificates. The meeting also elected Yao Li, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the NPC in Ningbo. Officials from the government, the NPC, and the CPPCC in Ningbo attended and addressed at the meeting.
Vice-chairman Song congratulated on the convening of the meeting on behalf of the CAIFC, fully affirmed the achievements that the NAIFC has made in the field of civil diplomacy over the years, and hoped it would make new progress in expanding foreign exchanges, boosting the economic development in Ningbo, improving the consultancy services, and strengthening self-construction.
Deputy secretary-general Zhou Xinzheng accompanied in the relevant activities.
