From October 27th to November 2nd, at the invitation of Japan Strategic Research Forum, Vice Secretary General of Song Enlei led delegation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) to participate in the International Seminar “Establishing Mutual-beneficial China-Japan Relations” hosted by the Japan Strategic Research Forum. Vice Secretary of the CAIFC Song Enlei on behalf of the Chinese party made the keynote speech; demonstrated the significance of developing the friendly relations between China and Japan; and proposed such suggestions as regional cooperation, cooperation in energy and environmental protection, cooperation in security and non-governmental academic exchanges for promoting the mutual-beneficial relations between China and Japan, receiving active response from the seminar. The delegation made the theme speeches include Reflections on Developing Strategic Mutual-Beneficial Relations between China and Japan and Status quo and Prospect of Sino-US Relations. The Japanese party proposed their ideas on the Security of East Asia and the Cooperation in Security of China and Japan. The two parties enhanced their understanding to each other and hoped to deepen their academic exchanges and cooperation with their discussions and exchanges.
