On March 26th, Li Xiaohua, vice-chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), met in Beijing with a delegation led by General Hing Bunhieng, deputy supreme commander of Royal Cambodian Army, commander of Armed Escorts of Prime Minister and director of Prime Minister Office. Vice-chairman Li indicated that China and Cambodia are good neighbors, good brothers, good partners and good friends. The two countries maintain mutual trust in politics and keep close communication in international affairs. The Cambodian government offers China firm support on major regional issues, and the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries is constantly developing. In recent years, under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodia maintains good momentum of overall social stability and rapid economic development. China is glad to see that.
General Hing Bunhieng thanked China for its long-term general support and selfless help to the government and people in Cambodia and indicated that he will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CAIFC in the future to increase mutual understanding between the two peoples and promote further development of the friendship between Cambodia and China.
Upon inquiry, Vice-chairman Li also briefed some information about the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC and the recently concluded NPC and CPPCC.
Deputy Secretary-general Zhou Xinzheng was present at the meeting.
