On December 3rd, the 15th “Agon Shu Kiriyama Cup” of Sino-Japanese Weiqi Contest co-hosted the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) and Chinese Chess Association under the sponsorship of Agon Shu from Japan ended successfully in Lingyinsi Temple in Hangzhou. Lian Xiao, a Chinese yon-dan player, won Daisuke Murayama, a Japanese nana-dan player, in the closing stage and got the championship.
Shen Weiping, vice-chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) attended and watched the contest. In his speech at the reception banquet, Vice-chairman Shen said that the “Agon Shu Kiriyama Cup” of Weiqi Contest was of positive significance to the Sino-Japanese folk friendship and sports exchanges and that in the future the CAIFC will continue to support this contest event.
