Upon the invitation of “Chinese Politics & Economy Forum”, Li Xiaohua, vice-chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), led a delegation to visit Japan from October 26th to November 1st. During the stay in Japan, the delegation exchanged views on the Diaoyu Islands, Sino-Japanese relations, and regional security issues with Japanese parliament members from major political parties like the Liberal Democratic Party and New Komeito. They also met with the directors of the “Chinese Politics & Economy Forum”, Nippon Foundation, Japan-China Civil Friendship Association, and Agon Shu, separately. Both sides reached consensus on strengthening exchanges and cooperation and actively creating a good atmosphere in the future. In addition, the delegation also went to the Camp Asaka in Saitama Prefecture and observed the parade and equipment display shown by the Japanese Gound Self-Defense Force.
