From August 25th to 31st, a delegation of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), led by Wang Xiao, deputy director of Second Department of Asian Affairs, paid a friendly visit to the Philippines. During their visit, the delegation met with experts and scholars in the Asian Center of University of the Philippines and Palawan State University. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on the current Sino-Philippine relations and academic exchanges. The Philippine host said that the Philippines and China share a long history of friendship and the two sides should communicate more with each other and enhance mutual trust to prevent any possible damage caused by misjudgment to the overall situation of bilateral friendship.
