Li Zhaoxing, chairman of the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), led a delegation to attend “Art Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Masters” in Thailand from August 12nd to 15th. During his stay in Thailand, Chairman Li met with senior Thai government officials, former important political and military figures, and overseas Chinese leaders separately. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and hot issues. The Thai side expressed their willingness to further communicate and coordinate with the Chinese to jointly safeguard regional peace and stability. The new leaders of Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association thanked Chairman Li for his handwritten congratulatory letter and high praise. They indicated that they will make persistent efforts to contribute more to the Sino-Thai friendship with the CAIFC. Pini, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and chairman of Thai-Chinese Culture Promotion Council (TCCPC), introduced the newly established TCCPC to Chairman Li in detail and indicated that they are willing to deeply cooperate with the CAIFC in various fields, to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples through cultural bonds, and to actively drive the development of Sino-Thai civil friendship.
